Venice, FL – Village On The Isle, a premier Life Plan Community on the island of Venice, was recently awarded one of the coveted Architecture and Design Awards from the 7th Annual Senior Housing News (SHN), Aging Media Publication for their newly built replacement Skilled Nursing & Health Care Rehabilitation Center which opened in February of this year.
More than 90 communities across the country and globe submitted new construction and renovation projects, vying for top honors across ten categories: 55+, Active Adult, Affordable Senior Housing, Assisted Living, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Independent Living, International, Renovation / Repositioning, Skilled Nursing / Post-Acute Care and Standalone Memory Care. The project was part of Village On The Isle’s $100 Million renovation to its campus. RLPS Architects and Wegman Design Group worked with Village On The Isle to create the exceptionally appealing yet functional skilled nursing facility. A team of expert panelists from the senior living industry joined in to judge the project.

The newly built Health center is home to four 16-resident households which comprise the second and third floors. Each person has their own room with a triple window bay and private bathroom with a large, fully accessible shower. Individual households include a generously sized great room comprised of a kitchen, dining area, and living room.
